Achieving six-pack abs can be quite a battle. People often have the wrong idea of what is necessary in tightening their abdominals. Step number two is “genetics.” Look at your parents, some families are naturally thin while others are slightly heavier. It may be a little bit more difficult for you to reach your goals if your parents are naturally heavier. Another step is a healthy diet. You should eat more natural and whole foods instead of processed and calorie laden foods. And if you wish to lose a pound each week, you should try to cut out 500 calories each day. Since each pound of fat equals 3,500 calories, cutting out 500 calories each day may help you lose a pound each week.
