Adopting a fitness routine can be difficult for some people. Many of us refuse to exercise all together
while others start a fitness regimen and quit shortly thereafter. There are numerous factors behind our
fear of fitness, ranging anywhere from slow weight loss results to lack of motivation. However, if you
are serious about losing weight, exercise should be an important part of your life. So here are a few
obstacles you should overcome in order to relive your fear of exercise.
The first problem that most people have when it comes down to fitness is intimidation. Many individuals are
embarrassed that they will not know not to use workout machinery at the local gym. Others fear that they will
not be able to keep up in an exercise class. And when you experience feelings like that, you all of a sudden
begin to feel like everyone is looking at you and judging you. However, the fact is, no one is looking at you
and when you sign up at a gym you will have a private tour of all of the machinery. Another obstacle you need
to overcome is lack of time. When our schedules get busy, the first thing to go is the time we set aside for
exercise. And a third obstacle is money. A lot of people feel like they can’t afford to be physically active
due to the costly gym memberships. However, you do not need to go to the gym in order to be more active. You can
just as easily create your own workout regimen at home.
And last but certainly not least is motivation. Without motivation we will never complete a desired task. If
you lack motivation, emphasize to yourself that by exercising you will improve your health and shed unwanted
pounds. It may prove to be a slow and steady process but it’s definitely worth the wait.
