2 Major reasons for Weight Gain

If you eat a well balanced healthy diet and you exercise regularly, you expect to be thin and healthy, right? Well, that is not always the case. There are several other elements in your life which influence weight gain. We are all aware of certain demons which are responsible for weight gain, such as: fried foods, calorie laden desserts and sugar loaded sodas; however, not all of us are familiar with other major factors which negatively influence our ability to lose weight.

Lack of sleep is one of the major contributors to weight gain. When our bodies donít get enough sleep we become stressed and fatigued. This type of stress triggers our bodies to go into survival mode. When in survival mode, we tend to store fat more efficiently because our metabolism slows down drastically. Furthermore, when we are tired our bodies produce certain chemicals (ex: cortisol) which are known to influence obesity. So as you can see, an adequate amount of sleep is vital in maintaining a healthy weight. And for those of us who wish to lose weight yet experience problems with getting adequate sleep, there are certain all-natural diet pills which can help you achieve both.

Another major reason for weight gain is stress. Just as with lack of sleep, when we are stressed our bodies go into survival mode. The worst part about being stressed is that we tend to reach for comfort food and with our metabolism being sluggish all of that comfort food is going to get stored as fat. So if you are consuming a healthy diet and you exercise regularly but your weight loss results are not what they should be, you need to make sure that your efforts are not being sabotaged by these two culprits.
