Trouble losing weight? Watch what you drink

Do you have trouble losing weight? Many people experience problems with weight loss. You may be eating a healthy diet and exercising but the scale still stays in place. You may have even gone the extra lengths and eliminated sugary snacks and sodas from your diet completely. So what is the culprit responsible for your unsuccessful diet results?

Many people are truly unaware of the weight gain potential from milk and from juice. Anyone who is trying to lose weight is well aware of the fact that they need to stay away from sodas and other sugary laden drinks, but what about milk and juice? Do these two products have many calories? Can they affect our weight loss goals? The answer is yes. Although these two beverages have numerous nutrients, they also contain quite the number of calories. And let it be known that the calories in liquid form count just the same as calories in solid food.

Some people who are trying to lose weight drink numerous glasses of juice prior to or during a meal in order to minimize the amount of calories they consume. That is also a false way of thinking. Research has shown that drinking liquids either before or during a meal has little or no effect on how much we eat. The only way we can feel fuller on fewer calories is if we eat foods that have high water content, such as fruit, vegetables, and soup. So if you are trying to lose weight, simply stick with water as your major thirst quencher. And as for juice and milk, try to keep your intake of these two beverages close to the average recommended daily serving of 6 ounces of juice and 16 to 24 ounces of milk.
