Whether you work out at home or at the gym, a good fitness regimen is a must. With so many different exercises and weight loss tools, it is difficult to pinpoint which are the most effective. Most of us want to target all of the major muscles of our body and we want to see good results. Therefore, I am providing you with 6 of the most effective exercises.

The first effective exercise is walking. Walking is great because you can walk anywhere and anytime. All you need is a good pair of shoes or a treadmill. Beginners should start out by walking 5 to 10 minutes at a time and eventually moving up to 30 minutes. Once you reach this goal you can always up the amount of time you walk, you can change your incline and you can differentiate your pace. The second beneficial exercise is interval training. This particular form of fitness helps you burn more calories and lose weight. It is recommended to vary the intensity of your interval training in order to challenge your body.

Squats are also very effective. The reason why most people incorporate squats into their fitness routine is because they target multiple muscle groups at the same time, including quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes. Lunges are also a favorite because they work all of the major muscles in the lower body region and they improve our balance. Pushups are also very effective because they strengthen the chest, shoulders, triceps and core muscles. And last but certainly not least are abdominal crunches. When completed correctly, they are great at tightening our abs and removing our love handles.
