Why should you eat more Fruit?

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away” is a very well known saying. A lot of people are well aware of the fact that fruit provides our bodies with numerous health benefits; however, not too many of us actually consume the required daily serving. Fruit can prevent illness, provide proper nutrition and even suppress our appetite. While some people use the hoodia pill to sustain their hunger, others are consuming a fiber rich apple.

One of our bodily functions which benefits from the consumption of fruit is the digestive tract. By consuming raw vegetation our bodies are provided with roughage and fiber. Both of these elements serve as natural laxatives which help our bodies get rid of waste. A healthy digestive track is also beneficial for those of us who want to lose weight. It is certain the some people rely upon the best diet pills to shed a few extra pounds, while others venture into a world of fruit and vegetables. However, no matter what your approach to weight loss may be, you should still consume plenty of raw vegetation in order to attain proper nutrition.

Another benefit of consuming fruit is illness protection. Fruit is very high in antioxidants and vitamins; for instance, all citrus fruit is rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C can help your body fight off certain illnesses, such as the common cold. Certain other vitamins that raw vegetation contains include A, C, and E. These vitamins are some of the strongest antioxidants. They are responsible for protecting our bodies from cancer causing free radicals and slowing down the effects of aging. If we could slow down the process of aging simply by consuming fruit, why wouldn’t we? So as you can see, fruit is a very beneficial part of a healthy lifestyle.
